  • Of any make

We repair Gas, Oil and Electric Boilers whether they are Combination, System or Regular Boilers. All makes are included such as Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Potterton, Baxi etc. Whatever make of Boiler you have we can repair it.

Combination Boilers are simple to repair as everything is housed within the Boiler itself. System and Regular Boilers can be more complicated as a cylinder’s included in the central heating system.

Common Boiler Problems

Here are some common Boiler problems that can cause the Boiler to fail and stop working. If you’re experiencing any issues with your Boiler it’s best to get the issue resolved before the Boiler fails. Small issues can lead to more significant and more expensive problems in the form of Boiler damage. Nip the problem in the bud with a repair, and you won’t experience any unnecessary Boiler failure.

Extinguishing Pilot Light

If your pilot light keeps blowing out, you probably have a faulty thermocouple which is preventing enough gas getting through. A simple thermocouple replacement will get your Boiler back up and running.

Leaks

Over time the continuous flow of water causes valves and seals wear and leak. The problem is exacerbated by unnecessary high pressure (Boiler pressure is checked during servicing and repairs). Always get leaks looked at as they can corrode and damage parts of the Boiler and areas of your home.

Low Pressure

Low pressure will cause the Boiler to switch off continuously. Low pressure is caused by incorrect setting or leaking (see above)

Kettling

Limescale is inevitable in central heating systems, if a large enough piece gets lodge in the heat exchanger it’ll overheat and make strange noises. Get these noises checked out, left alone long enough and your Boiler could come to an abrupt halt.

Frozen Pipe

Modern condensing Boilers utilise a condensing pipe which runs outside and is vulnerable to cold weather (if not adequately insulated) if the pipe freezes it’ll stop your Boiler. Defrosting the pipe will get your Boiler back working.
