The Design
Every aspect is planned meticulously from the start. Careful planning enables us to build your bathroom efficiently with little disruption. Breaking the design into various parts allows perfect design.
Plumbing
We take note of the location of existing pipes and plumbing. The bathroom can be built to work with the existing plumbing set up, or new pipes can be run so you can change the position of the suite ensuring your new bathrooms more practical than your old one.
Flooring
Flooring is waterproof and non-slip. Tiles are incredibly durable and look great; we generally use Porcelain tiles for flooring as they are stronger than ceramic.
Vinyl is easy to fit and represents excellent value for money. Available on a roll or as tiles. While vinyl is a cheaper alternative to tiles, it is more slippery when wet, something to take into consideration if the floor’s used by children or the elderly.
Other materials include rubber (excellent non-slip and soft) concrete (a unique look but high maintenance) engineered wood (not the best material but a possibility) slate & marble (expensive and high maintenance but the ultimate in luxury).
Walls
Bathroom walls are commonly fitted with tiles which are available in many different styles and colours. Ceramic tiles are mostly used. Other materials include porcelain, glass and stone.
Acrylic, laminate or PVC panels are an alternative to tiles, durable waterproof while being quicker and easier to fit.
For certain styles of bathroom, treated wood can be used in areas that don’t get wet. Some parts of the bathroom wall can be left uncovered and coated in bathroom paint.
Suites
Bathroom suites include the bath, basin and toilet, all of which are available in different shapes and sizes to fit any space. Suites are available in various traditional and modern styles, most are white, but there are other colours available.
Taps & Showers
Taps are picked to compliment your suite and decor. Showers can be combined with your bath or in a separate enclosure. Showers options include electric, mixer, digital or thermostatic. Power showers are a possibility if your boiler and system can cope with the demands.
The Finishing Touches
Bathrooms are finished with heating, lighting and storage. Many bathrooms utilise a towel rail radiator. Underfloor heating is a highly desirable heating option we fit both electric and wet system.
The lighting is fitted to compliment the overall design and to assist with tasks such as shaving and grooming. Bathrooms require storage, which can work in conjunction with your suite (under basins) or cupboards and wall cabinets can be fitted in suitable areas.
