We Install All Boilers

Clearwater Plumbing & Heating install all Boilers which vary on the type, fuel type, size and make.

Boiler Types

Boiler types include combination, system and regular.

Combination Boilers (also known as Combi Boilers) are the most common Boilers fitted in Ipswich. All essential parts are built into the Boiler; no external components are needed, such as pump and cylinder. Combi’s are highly efficient space-saving Boilers best suited to small to mid-sized homes.

System Boilers include a pressurised cylinder (usually fitted out of sight inside a cupboard) which stores a large amount of hot water to provide sufficiently for mid to larger sized homes.

Regular Boilers are the most involved systems utilising a vented cylinder with feed and expansion tanks. Traditional Regular systems are often upgraded to accept combination or system boilers, increasing space and efficiency. Regular Boilers are fitted into homes with an existing regular Boiler/system or large homes with high hot water demands.

Boiler Sizes

Boilers are available in different sizes

  • 24 to 27 kW – for homes with up to 10 radiators
  • 28-34 kW – for homes with between 10-15 radiators
  • 35 to 42 kW – for homes with over 15 radiators

Fuel Types

We fit boilers for the following fuel types

Gas – The most common, economical and environmentally friendly Boiler fuel

Electric – The safest of all Boilers with no carbon monoxide risk

Oil – An option for rural homes off the gas grid

Makes Of Boiler

We install all makes of Boiler including Worcester Bosch, Baxi, Potterton, Vaillant and more.

Energy Efficiency

New Boilers are incredibly efficient. The latest condensing boilers run at between 90-98% energy efficiency (only 2-10% is wasted in the fuel-burning process). Modern condensing boilers catch escaping heat and reuse it for heating water.

Older Boilers are nowhere near as efficient running as low as 55% (45% of the fuel is wasted). If you have a new Boiler installed, you’ll save money on your energy spend.
